Required Margin Calculator

One of the best ways to manage risk and avoid margin calls is to keep an eye on your equity and margin. With the Required Margin Calculator, you can see what affect a new trade will have on your account’s usable margin.

Use the calculator to select five symbols, and assign a trade size. The dashboard will then show both the required margin for each of those trades individually, and project the usable margin which would be available in your account should you actually open those live trades.

Required Margin Calculator works across all instruments (FX and CFDs) and contains four color themes. 

INPUTS

The following are inputs available in the application:

• Account: Sets the applicable account
• Instrument: Sets the five symbols for data collection
• Lot Size: Sets the lot size used in instrument calculations
• Advanced Dashboard Position (Bottom-Left): Sets the corner of the chart where the dashboard appears
• Select color theme (Light): Sets the color theme for the dashboard
• Custom Theme Colors: If the color theme is custom:
  • Top Bar Color (110; 110; 110)
  • Primary Color (226; 226; 228)
  • Secondary Color (242; 242; 248)
  • Top Text Color (233; 233; 233)
  • Body Text Color (90; 90; 90)

• Drawing Mode (middle-to-middle): Sets the drawing mode of the indicator
• Show legend (Yes): If yes, the legend appears on the chart
• Show in background (No): If yes, the indicator is drawn behind the chart data
